The Great City Teacher (GCT) project focuses on the critical and long-standing need for elementary school teachers of learning disabled students. Under the auspices of the Council of the Great City Schools, the project is being implemented in five urban school districts working in partnership with five urban universities. Additionally, the Council of the Great City Colleges and the Council for Exceptional Children are important collaborators on the project, lending expertise and technical assistance.
